Personal, Social and Health Education
PSHE is taught throughout the school and is part of how we live our daily lives. The school has a strong buddying system with mixed aged groups working together at different tasks. Each class holds class council meeting and the ideas and suggestions from these are discussed by the school council. Minutes are recorded and feedback given to classes.
Sex and Relationship Education
Sex and relationship education is part of the school curriculum and starts from Early years. The emphasis is on relationships and getting on with others. In Upper Key Stage 2 sex education is taught alongside the science unit of the human life cycle.
A letter goes out to parents each year before the KS2 curriculum unit is taught.
